Invite me to your school!

Do I do school visits? You bet! My prime audiences are elementary (grades PreK-5) and middle (grades 6-8), but I have also presented to high schoolers (not to mention many, many educators and parents). I'm currently based in the Hudson Valley (about 90 minutes north of NYC), but I travel extensively for school visits in the USA and Canada, not to mention internationally—including to schools in Brazil, France, Germany, Poland, the UAE, India, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia … so far!

I typically do 3-4 presentations in a day, with each presentation tailored to the grade level and audience. The presentations include a PowerPoint slideshow where I show kids how I got to where I am and how I make my books, plus the always-exciting LIVE DRAWING with volunteers from the audience!

I’ve also conducted workshops on creating books, characters, comics, and graphic novels, including some multi-day classes where students work on a longer project from start to finish.
