Scholastic: A Guide to Using Graphic Novels with Children and Teens

Scholastic Graphix, publisher of graphic novels like SUNNY SIDE UP, SMILE, AMULET, and BONE, created this guide with the help of librarian-educators Robin Brenner (of No Flying No Tights, a seemingly inexhaustible resource for graphic-novel reviews), Philip Crawford, and Stephen Weiner. It includes an introduction to graphic novels (with tips for overcoming prejudices) and methods for teaching the format and fostering discussion with readers.
